Verteil Technologies achieved a significant milestone in the Indian travel market by enabling the Lufthansa Group’s NDC content on its platform, Verteil Direct Connect (VDC). On May 3rd 2018, one of our partner agencies, Jose Travels, an IATA accredited travel agent based out of Indore, India, issued tickets between Delhi, Zurich and Bombay by directly connecting to the airline using the Verteil Direct Connect (VDC) technology platform. This will catapult the adoption of the direct connect channel among our agency partners in India. The fact that VDC application provides 100% NDC compliant user experience means its customers can now avail Lufthansa’s NDC content in the same way they get content from other airlines.
Yet another airline embraces NDC.
“After our successful launch of NDC in India with BA last year and our recent launch of American Airlines, we are delighted to launch the NDC direct connect channel of the Lufthansa group on our direct connect platform, Verteil Direct Connect. Lufthansa has been in the forefront when it comes to distributing their products and services on the direct connect channel and this aligns with our core focus on providing direct connect solutions in India and other regions that we operate in. It was a great experience working with the Lufthansa team and we are proud to be one of the fastest NDC IT providers if not the fastest to integrate with their direct connect channel.” said Jerrin Jos, Founder & CEO, Verteil Technologies.
“It gives me great pleasure to start issuing tickets on the direct channel of Lufthansa facilitated by Verteil Direct Connect. Verteil is playing a leading role in driving direct connect in India and our customers are happy to leverage the many benefits being made available on the direct connect channel of the airlines. NDC offers directly coming from airlines is the biggest change I have seen in the airline industry since the e-ticketing migration” said T.K. Jose, Founder, Jose Travels.
